A&W Branding Exercise
A&W Canada has a long and storied history. While there's nothing wrong with the current branding, I thought it might be an interesting exercise to develop a re-brand for A&W Restaurants. My starting point was to use the wordmark that existed during the era where I first experienced A&W (1966-1986). Using Adobe Illustrator, I cleaned up the wordmark using the Franklin Gothic Ultra typeface. From there, I developed a minimal colour palette and then extended these core pieces into 3D beauty shots in Adobe Substance 3D Stager.
